Extra Credit Reading Notes

For the extra credit reading this week, I decided to watch the Crash Course series part on Goddesses and Gods. I chose this section of the series because I have always been interested in the gods and goddesses and their origin stories. I really enjoyed him using the terms 'Earth Mom' and 'Sky Dad."It was really interesting to learn about the archetypal gods as I did not know too much about that beforehand.

 Hi! My name is Natalie. I am a senior at the University of Oklahoma, and I am graduating this semester! I bounced around majors quite a bit before finally finding the one that suits my interests and talents. I am majoring in Sociology with a focus in Criminology, and minoring in Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Analysis. I really enjoyed this comic from Dinoman . I love dinosaurs and this comic is absolutely adorable. I watched this video of a T-Rex song because I thought that it was only fitting to watch a video about dinosaurs when my chosen graphic was about dinosaurs. It was honestly a lot more creative than I thought it would be!

Week 9 Story: The Color of Magic

Updated story! Once there was a young man who saw the world around him in shades of black and white. Now, this young man did not know that there was anything different about the way in which he viewed the world. One day, he went into town to the market, needing to buy a few items for dinner, including a lemon.  Normally, the market had signs near each pile of fruits or vegetable noting their name and price. However, there were no signs in sight this time. The young man asked a kind looking older woman if she knew which pile of fruit were the lemons. The woman looked a bit confused, and hesitantly said "the yellow ones".  Now this certainly puzzled the young man, who asked what 'yellow' was. When she told him that it was a bright color, he became even more confused. He had never seen anything like what the woman described as 'yellow', and knew something was wrong.
